Most of the lost grounds in Belgium are very well known by the groundhoppers. But every once in a while we come across a fairly unknown one. In Lint (near Kontich) there is an absolute gem of a lost ground to be found which we haven't seen visited by other groundhoppers.
KFC Lint played on this ground, right up until 2004-2005. Not a lot is known about the team other than the fact KFC Lint was founded somewhere in the 20s or early 30s. All this time they always played in the regional leagues.
The start of the new millennium brought a lot of changes though. At first they moved to a new ground elsewhere in Lint. A few years later the collaboration with FC DWM Lint started. In 2009 this meant a move of DWM Lint to the new ground of KFC Lint and one big board for the two teams. In 2017 the next step was taken - an official merger between KFC Lint and FC De Witte Molen Lint.
Anecdote: Kris Mampaey was coach of the team in 2016 and 2017. He played for Lierse SK, Antwerp FC and Racing Mechelen and managed a couple of teams in the higher regional leagues and fourth division.
